NH Arabian Horse Association Newsletter
Message from the President
November 2007
Hello Friends!
The
NH Arabian
Horse Association finished up a fun year with a fall trail ride in
Chester, NH. We had a Costume Contest and as you can see from the photos
these girls are really creative! Congratulations to Ashley Schmoock and
Samantha Smith for putting together great costumes. The winner took home
a lovely gift basket put together by Linda Fish. Linda also took some
great photos for those who attended.
Now we’re onto horse show 2008 planning. The club is actively seeking an individual to become our Sponsorship Chairperson. If you love to meet people, are good at sales (or would like to be) and want to help promote the show, please contact me, Laurel Bissonnette and we’ll get you involved immediately.
We’re also making arrangements for a combined Year End Awards
Banquet and Annual Meeting. This is planned for January
19th at The Makris Lobster and Steak House in Loudon,
NH. Don’t miss it; we’re having a Yankee Swap, delicious food
and a great raffle. Find out what your club has to offer! Come and
socialize with fellow Arabian enthusiasts, as we award some beautiful
prizes and ribbons to our Year End High Point winners! To sign up, check
out the web site or contact me for more information.
This was a great year for volunteers. Once again I want to thank them all for their valued contributions.
Linda Fish participated and volunteered for every event the club sponsored. In addition to her fabulous photos above, she contributed food, gift baskets and her time to each event. Nancy Schroth helped at the beach ride and the trail ride by providing tasty treats for our participants. Crystal Webster spent many long hours creating the show prize list and the Dressage Clinic brochure. Melody Madison and Gale Grenier were a huge help at the horse show. They worked the gates saving the club money. They also came down to the beach ride to help. Julia Webb and Trixie Lefebre marked the beautiful trail ride in Chester. Laura Susmann provided me with help planning the trail ride and she’s planning another one for the spring, look forward to more information on that. Laura also represented our club at the Region 16 meeting this year when no one else could make the trip to Niagra Falls. Again, thanks to each and every one of you, we couldn’t have done it without you!
I hope to see you all in January! Stay warm and happy circles to those of you lucky enough to be at an indoor arena!
